August 24, 2022.
Looking back with gratitude ... Looking forward with hope
I’m grateful for today, for memory of yesterday, for the promise of tomorrow...
I’m grateful for my creative and supportive colleagues who are patient, helpful, and kind
I’m thankful for my friends and colleagues who inspire me ...
I’m grateful for the love, kindness, support, and friendship of so many people ... for the support and kindness over the past year ...
I’m grateful for the women mentors and leaders who showed me I don’t need to compromise who I am to have academic success ...
I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn, lead and transform ... and a meaningful thesis!
I’m thankful for my friends, family and wonderful profs and inspiring teachers, and an amazing last year
I’m thankful for inclusivity coupled with openness of mind to learn and grow
I’m grateful for healthy energy and continued hope for health and happiness ...
I’m thankful for covid-free family and friends, which include my co-workers ... good health, happiness, and success
My hope for the upcoming year and decade is a strong school community that is filled with joy and peace
Wishes for the coming year ...
... to contribute my skills and knowledge to DCSN in new and creative ways
... that we all remain safe and healthy ... and that we safely return to in-person campus I hope for good health and pandemic’s end
I hope to have fun next year
... and may the coming year bring growth
For all the growing I’ve done in the past year, I hope I grow to be kind to myself, especially this year
I hope I learn to let things pass without the need to control everything
To take care of ourselves; health is wealth
To love hard ... to live with joy, compassion, and equanimity ... interbeing
I will be kind enough to forgive myself this year and continue with the belief in the good in me and in my fellow human beings! This year I will start to step into what my dreams require me to become: love and kindness.
